Architectural Acoustics Introduces New Digitool Utility 1.32 Software

March 13, 2003, MERIDIAN, Miss. - Architectural Acoustics, a division of Peavey Electronics Corporation, proudly introduces the new Digitool Utility software, version 1.32, for use with the Digitool MX configurable audio processing system.

This version of the popular Digitool software is a significant revision to Digitool configuration, control and interface functionality. New features include support for D Series flush-mount controllers and improved serial control configuration tools. Version 1.32 also adds automatic mixing to the device complement, a whole new dimension of system design for Digitool users. The Digitool MX utilizes advanced processing algorithms and an extensive set of processing devices for building integrated audio systems. This unit features eight microphone and line-level inputs and eight line-level outputs, 24-bit converters and dual Analog Devices SHARC DSP engines. With full matrix mixing, dynamics processing, delay and full-blown EQ included, the Digitool MX will accommodate the majority of sound system requirements.

In addition, the Digitool MX includes a simple programming interface that allows easy, efficient setup. Shedding a popular myth that DSP processors must be programmed from a PC, this processor is completely configurable from its intuitive front panel LCD interface. Although connectivity to Windows-based PCs is included, it is not required for basic configuration, control or operation.

At the heart of the Digitool MX is its full-featured audio mixing matrix. This matrix provides "anything to anything" routing, mixing and distribution, making it an extremely versatile tool for a wide variety of applications where multiple outputs are required. Controlling the unit is easy, with built-in support for serial and voltage control interface. An additional interface supports a new line of wall-mount controllers for custom control configurations. Control points are included for key signal paths, with scene presets and security functionality also available.
